VeGA is a high-performance variable gain amplifier designed to provide the user with control over the level of amplification best to achieve an ideal signal to noise ratio (SNR).
Unlike fixed gain LNAs, VeGA allows situational flexibility with adjustable gain control, giving you the power to dial in the exact amplification required for your chosen frequency.
The included digital display meter will show the current gain level being utilized.
Assembly
- Press the red button cap onto the outermost switch on the left hand-side (SW7). Then press the white button caps onto the remaining 6 switches (D0-D5)
- Press the black and blue cap onto the analog rotary control at the top (R9)
Insert the 3 wires connected to the digital display meter into the pin header: Red to Vcc, Black to GND and Yellow to Vc, as denoted on the board
Operation

- Connect your SDR to the RF output of the VeGA
Power your VeGA and tune to your frequency of choice. Enjoy!
Notes
- There are two ways to adjust the gain of the VeGA; the analog rotary control and the preset pushbutton array. The red button switches between digital and analog gain control. By pushing the red button, the pushbutton array becomes active.
Each white button is preset with a gain value
⚠ User Safety
- Only power the VeGA with one power option at any given time; bias tee, USB or pin header
- The maximum recommended input power is 0 dBm
- Ensure voltage input does not exceed 5.5 V
- This device is not weatherproof. Weatherproofing precautions should be taken if installing outdoors
- Contains small parts not suitable for young children
